The university is looking for PhD students to study food biopolymers in order to optimize technological functionality and value addition, compare the quality of plant-based and meat-based food items, and valorize plant-based foods. The project aims to investigate how to use cutting-edge technologies for the valorization of significant food biopolymers in order to improve their technofunctionalities.
Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Have excellent academic background in a relevant field, including chemical engineering, polymer science, food science, food/nutrition, and chemistry.
- Have achieved first-class Honours or 2A Honours or equivalent or a Masters by Research or Masters with a research component of at least 25%.
- Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or international student meeting the minimum English language requirements.
- Provide evidence of adequate oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary research team
- Meet RMIT’s entry requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy.

Benefits:
