Named for Laureate Professor Emeritus Cheryl Saunders AO (BA 1966 Arts, LLB (Hons) 1966, PhD Law 1976), the Cheryl Saunders Scholarship celebrates Professor Saunders’ magnificent contributions to legal education and constitutional law.
Eligibility Criteria for theCheryl Saunders Scholarship 2025:
- Students need to be classified as Australian nationals.
- Students must have applied for the Juris Doctor through Graduate Access Melbourne (GAM) under the 'Disadvantaged socio-economic circumstances' category and submitted the Disadvantaged Socio-economic Circumstances Supplementary Form.
- Students must meet the Graduate Access Melbourne entry requirements for the Juris Doctor.
Selection Criteria:
The scholarship is awarded based on both academic merit and demonstrated financial need.
Application Process:
No application is required. Students will be automatically considered for this award upon enrollment with the university.
Value of the Scholarship:
AUD 5,000 per year over three years (total AUD 15,000).
