The  doctoral Cotutelle project in ‘resource allocation in federated learning' between Deakin University (Australia) and Coventry University (United Kingdom).' The project is led by Deakin University to conduct research on resource allocation in federated learning by jointly considering communication, computation, and data heterogeneity.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must be either a domestic or international candidate. Domestic includes candidates with Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency or New Zealand Citizenship.
  • Applicant must meet the PhD entry requirements of both Deakin University and Coventry University, including English language proficiency requirements.
  • Applicant must be enrolling full time.
  • Applicant must be able to physically locate to both Coventry University (UK) and Deakin University (Australia)

Application process:

To discuss the project, applicants should first get in touch with Prof. Yong Xiang. You will be invited to submit a formal HDR application through the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Built Environment following a discussion of your application with the Deakin Supervisor.
